Tenko Robot Development History: Built Through Nationwide Collaboration

Tenko Robot emerged from a vision to improve the safety of Thai society. It was developed by a former IBM Silicon Valley computer hardware engineer, with the key starting point coming from former National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Suwat Jangyodsuk in 2020, who wanted an online alcohol breath testing machine for checkpoints with alerting and usage history summaries.

Key Timeline:

  • In 2020, the engineering team spent one year developing the prototype and delivered the first 10 units to the Royal Thai Police, with Viriyah Insurance as the main sponsor.
  • Shift to B2B: from that starting point, leading transport companies requested dedicated functions for drivers to reduce inspection labor costs and improve alcohol testing efficiency.
  • In 2021, continued development: real-world use from more than 10 leading companies led to version 2, which added blood pressure measurement and UVC disinfection during the COVID period, developed and tested with leading companies using the same foundation as Tenko processes used by top companies in Japan.
  • In 2022, Tenko Robot was officially launched at Industrial IoT Solution by the Federation of Thai Industries and received strong interest and orders from many leading Thai companies.
  • In 2023, TESUTO V1 was developed as an online alcohol breathalyzer for use in vehicles.
  • In 2025, TESUTO V2 won the National Innovation Award 2025 in the social and environmental category from the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization).
  • In 2025, Tenko Robot MK3 launched and received the P-Mark quality standard plaque and industry support funding for service robot production from the National Science and Technology Development Agency.
